The Walking Dead's Season 5: Previewing of Abraham, Glenn, Maggie and Eugene's journey thus far?

It seems that the seperated gang which includes Rosita and Tara don't forget see's them actually taking a detour from their original destination? It was obvious to most that them getting there was always going to include a detour due to the Zombies havinbg other plans for the crew? But without giving away any spoilers, lets just delve into the characters a little more courtesy of Cleveland.com.

Glenn and Maggie
There are already a few changes from Robert Kirkman's origin story. In the comic book, Rick, Carl and the others are still with Abraham. However, it appears Glenn (along with Maggie) will take on the role of Rick, as a voice of reason to help counter Abraham's militant nature. In the comic, Glenn and Maggie have their own drama to deal with. But that's likely to take a backseat on the TV series to the development of the Abraham character.
Abraham's suffering
"Self Help" will likely be crucial episode as we find out where Abraham was before the outbreak and why getting Eugene to Washington is so important to him. The theme of suffering and the toll it takes on the survivors is a central theme of "The Walking Dead." The show has gotten away from that a bit as the original characters have grown numb to violence and death. But we have yet to learn Abraham's motivations. That will change.
Eugene's plan
Everything hinges on Eugene's promise to deliver the cause of the outbreak to the officials in Washington. You don't have to be a "Walking Dead" expert to assume that probably doesn't go as planned. The result will shine the spotlight on Eugene as a human character who is just as screwed up as everyone else on the show.
A detour
The trip to D.C. takes a sharp turn in the comic book. Even most fans that haven't read the comic have heard of the mysterious Alexandria Safe-Zone. That's where the story eventually goes. How the group gets there will likely be a main plot point heading into the second half of Season 5.
Rosita
If you're hoping for a closer look at the character of Rosita (her story, not her looks), don't hold your breath. Her role as Abraham's sidekick/love interest isn't much more substantial in the comic book. My guess is she'll continue to make the occasional comment or simply role her eyes.
Tara Chambler
The one wild card in this whole storyline is Tara. She doesn't exist in the comic book. She's actually based on a character from the novel "The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor" (It's worth a read). Her post-Governor story on the TV series is all new territory for the show's creative team. Right now, she seems like a third-wheel to Glenn and Maggie's relationship, but Tara could play a more integral role going forward. Or she could just die. I'm okay with that too.
